Middle Sister Therapy
A little about me:
I’m Kenzi, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of NY!
I am a queer identifying therapist and my background is in community mental health. I have experience in case management, corrections, housing, inpatient acute care, outpatient community care and in group practice. Now, I own and operate Middle Sister Therapy.
The lens I hold is informed by social justice and feminist theory. I take into account how we are socialized by society and systems, and how that impacts how we see ourselves and how we respond to the world around us. My clinical work has been focused on trauma and the long lasting impacts that can have on an individual.
I am a generally laid back person, my hope is that this process feels open and welcoming. The goal is for people to feel that they can bring their whole selves to session without concern for judgement or meeting any expectations. I am not a blank slate therapist, I take a relational approach that will include humor and profanity.
I don’t mind that clients ask questions about me, I find that people feel more comfortable when they know I am a human too. I welcome feedback throughout our sessions, it is important to me to be flexible in my approach as everyone has different needs.
If you think we would be a good fit, we can schedule an initial appointment. I provide psychotherapy online and in-person.
